Wilson (Lascaux Ginkgo) has had a very successful fall show season! At the WPCSA show in November Wilson was CHAMPION Cob with his son Tegan Harrison RESERVE CHAMPION Cob. Wilson ended the breed classes with a RESERVE SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP! He then went on to be CHAMPION DRIVING PONY for the show! At ADS ADT's (Arena Driving Trials) Fall Fling in October, Wilson was 2nd in Dressage, 1st in Cones, 1st in Hazards and WON his Training Level Single Pony Division! Then at the Little Everglades Continuous Drive, Wilson again WON his Division. And at our last show of the fall season, the Tampa Trials ADT, Wilson was a close 3rd in dressage, 1st in cones, but alas driver Jean White steered a little too close and had a ball down in the hazards placing Wilson 2nd overall in the hotly contested pony division. This pony has been so awesome to show!
Lascaux Calypso taking a year off her broodmare duties has taken up dressage! Here ridden by our assistant trainer Joanna Compton-Mys at Calypso's first dressage show with a 62% and 65%. At her second show she was 2nd behind her son Tegan Camdyn and then tied with Tegan Camdyn in the next class. They had scores of 68%. At her 3rd show on Nov. 21 she scored in the low 70's%. Calypso has produced 3 outstanding offspring that are proving themselves in the show ring and in our hearts. If you would like one of Calypso's great sons or daughters reserve your 2011 foal now!
Tegan Camdyn: bred and trained at Hammock Farm. Camdyn is out of our mare Lascaux Calypso.
Robin Swanger: trained by Jean White and Joanna Compton-Mys here at Hammock Farm. Camdyn, in his first dressage test and after he got used to the puddles, went to the contact and scored 68%. At his second show he was 1st with a 68% and then went on to tie with his dam Lascaux Calypso for a win. At his third show he won with a mid-70% score. And this pony is only three years old and is ridden and shown by his amateur owner Robin Swanger. What a pony!
